The first workshop and tour on birdwatching was held in Aras UNESCO Global Geopark.
The first birdwatching workshop and tour was held on 23 and 24 November, coinciding with the National Birdwatching Day, in Aras UNESCO Global Geopark with the presence of the deputy of the environment of East Azerbaijan province, experienced birdwatching leaders and environmental activists from the northwestern provinces of the country and Tehran.
On the second day of this workshop, a birdwatching field tour was held at the banks of Aras River and the ponds of Aras Geopark.
According to the suggestion of the birdwatchers present in the workshop, a special profile was created for Aras UNESCO Global Geopark on the website "ebird" to record observations. During this half-day tour, 26 species of native Aras Geopark birds were recorded.
According to the suggestion of senior people in this meeting, considering the importance of various components of this meeting, the manifesto of bird watchers of the country was published with the focus of Aras UNESCO Global Geopark. The publishers of this manifesto expressed their hope that Aras UNESCO Global Geopark, by continuing its support, can take the authority in the field of birdwatching.
