Aras Geotourism Research Center

In order to fulfill some of the research tasks of the Aras free Zone, as well as to help meet the research needs of the region in terms of expanding tourism activities, the Research Unit of Type 3 was established in the form of a Geotourism Research Center between the Aras free Zone organization and Tabriz University based on License No. 155770/22 dated 29/07/94 of the Council on the Extension of Higher Education shall be established and shall be governed by the provisions of this Constitution, laws, regulations and regulations.

Goals

1. Implementation of fundamental, applied, developmental research projects aimed at expanding tourism and its culture in different parts of the country

2. To meet the needs of the academic, public and private sectors to geotourism information and related planning techniques.

3. Location of development plans in relation to geotourism issues

4. Development, extension and localization of knowledge of geotourism

5. Protecting geo-tourism attractions and employing appropriate tools for proper utilization of their capabilities.

6. Establish a sustainable tourism context and strengthen the attitude of planners in pursuit of valuable goals such as sustainable development.

7. Preservation of geo-tourism attractions, and the expansion of geotourism, ecotourism and tourism in geomorphologic and geological regions.

Center tasks

The tasks of the center, which are carried out in the context of the above goals in the field of "geotourism", are:

1- Research and Identification of Research Needs

2- Research, Applied and Development Projects

3. Provide the necessary facilities and appropriate research activities

4. To conduct scientific and technical consulting services in the field of tourism

5- Conducting scientific and international conferences in the field of geotourism

6- Cooperation in conducting student projects in line with the objectives of the Center

7- Conducting relevant scientific and international conferences

8. Publish research results in the form of magazines, books, CDs and the like

9. Carrying out the necessary activities in order to apply the results of research carried out in the country
